Course Goals

• Develop an appreciation for vegetation – Intrinsic value, wildlife habitat

• Help you learn skills to measure and analyze vegetation

• Provide a forum for scientific discussion of recent research– Management issues, climate change…– Bring up other topics of interest!

12:30!– Bring Notebook

• Field trips start Sept. 8! Meet at bus stop at Lewis/14th, across from car pool. We will leave at 12:30 sharp.– Bring notebook, jacket, water and snacks– Be prepared to ask questions! – Do the reading!
