Vertical Academies
Taking the “good stuff” we do and making it intentional and universal.
Relationships
WSH has many examples of great
relationship opportunities.
These communities happen because staff make extra efforts and put
deliberate thought into practice.
Ex/ “It’s a band thing.” Key Club
Cycling afterschool Rocket Club
Rigor
Ex/ Chargo & Houghton’s “Calculus Boot Camp”
Spanish IV with Senor Metz
Bio caap tests, Physics Projects
WSH also has experiences for students that
promote rigorous learning. Rigor
occurs when staff are consistently making that an
expectation and practice in the
classroom.
Relevance
Ex/ Close-Up, water quality tests, anatomy face painting, Meijer Trips, Worldwide Trips
WSH Staff have worked to make learning relevant to students lives
in a myriad of ways.
