Any structural defect caused by one or more of the following events are not included in the structural guarantee: storms, fire or flooding; trees growing near the footing system of the works; fair wear & tear; misuse or neglect by the owner; the owner’s failure to maintain the works; movement due to shrinking evidenced by minor cracking; the owner’s failure to maintain termite protection; any structural modification/s made to the existing home after handover will void the 30 year structural guarantee.
