    Outline:

    You will present a 5-minute class presentation review on your outputs from Assignment1 and 2. You will discuss a brief overview of the pre-production, production andpostproduction stages followed by a screening of your short film. A PowerPoint ONLYdisplay is essential. You will discuss the success, failure (if applicable), content, anddescription of the production process within the presentations required time limit.

    Assessment Criteria:

    Your presentation will successfully communicate the ideas, methodologies, productionand outcomes of your project to your classroom peers.

    You will be assessed individuallyon the basis of:

    50% Originality

    10% Factual accuracy 10% Timely completion

    30% Technical skills

    Overview of Assessment

    You will receive one of the following grades in assessment.

    Fail (NN) 0-49%

    Pass (PA) 50-59% Credit (CR) 60-69%

    Distinction (DI) 70-79%

    High Distinction (HD) 80-100%

    Late Submission

    Late submission will incur a 5% reduction of marks per business day including publicholidays and semester breaks unless you have special consideration granted. See thecourse guide for further details.

    Attendance and Information Intake

    You are required to attend all the scheduled lectures and take notes on the presentationin class, read and refer to the lecture notes where applicable, and watch and take notesabout the movie screening following the presentation(s). In addition to this you arestrongly advised to engage with the recommended reading list located in the courseguide for additional information where appropriate.

    Lecture Format

    Each class will combine watching videos, practical demonstrations, software andequipment focus, note taking, general discussions, activities and tasks.

    Grievances

    If you are unclear or do not understand the assignments and or course content pleaseask me in class or email me at [email protected] and I will do my best toprovide a concise and helpful response.

    If you are in dispute about your assignment result you can ask for the assignment to beresubmitted to an external examiner for review. This process requires you to formallyemail me as the Video 1 course coordinator and request for resubmission. The processmay take several weeks and there is no guarantee that your amended grade will behigher.

    Feedback

    Each assignment will receive a feedback sheet outlining a breakdown, grades, andnumerical results of the assessment, and a written comment sections. Please be patientin receiving this document within semester weeks.
