This package includes the full Signature 8-12 minute short film as well as full coverage of both the ceremony and the Toasts. The “Premium” wedding video is an extension of the Signature Plus package while adding several unique elements that only the Premium package can offer. The Premium package offers 2 shooters (full day), Drone/Aerial Footage, a Love Story to be shown at the reception, and an all-around higher quality video where the Bride will feel like she’s watching a movie of her wedding day.

Confirm your Event Call the COMPLETE Weddings + Events office and confirm your events each week. Confirm the location, specific times, any special schedule notes, etc. If you are unsure of anything, ask your manager to clarify things so we are all on the same page. Pre-Call First impressions are very important when meeting the couple. This is a great chance to let your personality shine and make them feel comfortable with you. Be friendly and courteous with the client. This is your first opportunity to use the Be Awesome philosophy. During this meeting it is important you go over every little detail from beginning to end. Show your client you know how the day will go and that you’re confident you will not miss any detail. (Using our shot list will reinforce that you’ll be prepared.) It is important to suggest ideas based on your experience but in the end always go with what they want. Always specifically ask about the Family Interviews, this is one area where clients’ opinions vary greatly. Find out the specific details of what will make their event unique. Take note of the Planning Sheet paperwork to help identify this information. Look Professional Make sure you are dressed nicely; we want to look like we are a guest at the wedding. Our standard dress code includes a COMPLETE Weddings + Events logo shirt, black slacks, belt and dress shoes. Be Awesome Always have a smile on your face; smiles are contagious and remember this is a happy event. Treat your clients like royalty, remember there are always potential cliental in the wedding party. Have fun, laugh and enjoy the day along with everyone. Equipment Check Before even thinking about leaving for the event, double and triple check your equipment. Make sure your camera is working properly and lenses are clean. Always bring backup batteries or extra memory cards just in case. Make sure to use at least three 16 GB SD cards with at least class 10—40 MB/S or higher and your CF cards should be at least 133x. You should always go to your event prepared and expecting the unexpected. Shooting Format We expect all videographers to shoot in 1080p 24fps. Arrive 30 Minutes Before Dress Is Put On We can tell you with experience, always be early! During the Pre-Call, find out what time the Bride will be putting on her dress, be at the location 30 minutes prior. This timing will make sure that you cover all items on the shot list. Also, this will give you the ability to get some cool shots like the “Bride Reveal” and the exchange of gifts. Meet the Venue Staff As soon as you arrive at the venue, introduce yourself to the venue staff, Wedding Coordinator and the Officiant. Make sure to ask if there are any set rules you must follow, as shooting location can be a sensitive issue with some locations. Also, introduce yourself to the Photographer and let them know where you planning on being throughout the ceremony. This will help when they are positioning themselves around you. Work with the Photographer The Photographers are in control of the Pre-Ceremony timing of the event as well as posing some really cool shots. If you are working with a COMPLETE Weddings + Events Photographer, you can even coordinate some poses.

Ceremony Audio It is always recommended to be shooting with two different audio sources during the ceremony. One should be a wireless lapel mic on the Groom or plugged into the DJ board, if applicable. The other should be an on-camera microphone to capture natural room noise. If you have multiple audio inputs, use them. If not, use a secondary audio input like the Zoom H1. Always shoot audio in automatic mode. Always wear headphones to confirm audio signal is good. Please note that this is not always possible with Zoom lapel setup, so be sure to use that as a secondary audio. Manual Exposure While shooting, make sure you are manually setting exposure. Get to know where your exposure settings are on your camera to properly adjust on the fly as needed. Signature Shot List The Signature style shot list is broken down into two sections. The first section is a minimum number of unique shots. By “Unique Shots”, we simply mean that two right-to-left pans of the exterior do not count as two shots. However, if you switch locations and pan top-to-bottom, it is considered a new unique shot. The second section is the mandatory shots. The list of shots is mandatory, if possible. It is important to keep focus on the correct items while shooting an event. For instance, someone may get a lot great shots of the Bride getting ready, but forget to get shots of the exterior of the church. Every item listed helps improve the quality of the shoot, so be sure to get all of them. Occasionally, there will be a shot that is impossible. For example, there may not be a unity candle. If this is the case, simply write next to the item why it was not shot. Every item should have either a check or an explanation of why it was not accomplished. This is extremely helpful if a client has questions about any item that may be missing. Shooting Tips During the bridal march, the guests will stand up, be sure to still have a usable shot.

When shooting a Documentary, if you have a shot, keep it. The general rule is that moving will always ruin a good shot.

When shooting a Documentary, do not stop recording during the ceremony.

Keep your headphones on at all times.

Event Paperwork Fill out the Booking Sheet paperwork and turn it in along with your completed shot list. Write specific notes and comments of any problems on your Booking Sheet.

This list of questions has been designed to serve as a guideline to help you in making the Pre-Call to your client. Always use the Planning Sheet to walk the client through the Pre-Call. The most important aspect of the Pre-Call is to develop a relationship with the client and understand their vision for their event. 90% of your work is done through a successful and thorough Pre-Call. The other 10% is simply showing up and executing the event. Remember, first impressions are very important; above all, be friendly and confident. Try to offer suggestions based upon your experience, but then always do things the client’s way. The Pre-Call is designed to set the client at ease, not to add to any nervousness. If you have questions about specific events and need clarification, call your manager before your Pre-Call. Directions Ask for specific directions to all locations that the client would like you to attend during their event. Some locations you might want to verify are: Getting ready location (hotel, salon, bridal suite, etc.) First look location Ceremony venue Location between ceremony and reception (bar, park, etc.) Reception Venue, if different from ceremony venue

General Pre-Call Based upon the event times, inform the client when you expect to arrive to set up for the event. Confirm the event times: Ceremony ______; Reception ________ Pre-Call Questions “What time and where are you putting on your dress?” “Are you and your fiancé seeing each other before the ceremony?” “Are you using any special transportation (i.e. limo, party bus, etc.)?” “What time does your ceremony start?” “What time does your reception start?” “Would you like to do wedding party and/or family pictures before or after the ceremony?” “Who’s your photographer and would you mind if I contact them directly to coordinate things?” “Do you have a timeline for your event?”

Discuss Aspects of Event Verify all information on the Planning Sheet is accurate. Their plans may have changed since

they filled out the form, so be sure to update any incorrect information.. Ask if there are any circumstances that may be important to know, such as divorce in family,

recent funerals, etc. Discuss the overall involvement level they expect from you. Verify the balance due, if any, and ask who to collect it from. Discuss options with the client regarding Letter Reading, First Look and/or Family Interviews.

Review Timeline and Offer Your Assurance Review the order of events and give an overview of the night. Assure them that you are there to make sure everything runs smoothly and according to their plans and that everyone is going to have a great time. Let them know if they need anything, just ask!
