Born in Chile, Gabriel Vielma has studied and worked as a designer widely in Europe. In Madrid he studied industrial design at the Instituto

Europeo de Design specialising in furniture. He continued to study and work in Spain exploring other aspects of craft and design, especially

glassmaking and ceramics, before coming to the conclusion that creating clothes was the only way to bring to life the forms, colours, textures,

and movement in his mind.

He learnt the practical aspects of fashion design and construction through a combination of courses and hands-on work with established

designers in Madrid and London, as well as a period in France studying hat-making. Gabriel's well-received first collection for spring-summer

2012 was presented under the brand Muscat Vielma during London Fashion Week in September 2011. His first solo capsule collection, for

autumn-winter 2012, was launched in May 2012.
