Perry StoneNov. 15 – Depart USA

Nov. 16 – Arrive in Tel Aviv, IsraelWelcome to Tel Aviv, Israel! Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and a good night’s rest.

Nov. 17 – Mt. of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Shrine of the Book Start your day standing atop the Mount of Olives, where Jesus ascended into Heaven 40 days after His resurrection. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane and pray among the olive trees in the Kidron Valley across from the walls of Jerusalem. Understand better the Jerusalem of Jesus’ day with a look at the First Century Model of the city of Jerusalem at the Israel Museum. Also on the museum grounds, visit the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed.

Nov. 18 – Bethlehem, Old City Tour, Pool of Bethesda, CardoToday visit Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. Walk through portions of the Old City of Jerusalem, discovering the sights and sounds of both the ancient and modern. Walk along some of the streets known as the Via Dolorosa and visit the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed a man on the Sabbath. Continue your journey through the Old City to the Cardo where modern shops are situated among an ancient marketplace whose ruins date back to the Judean monarchy.

Nov. 19 – Caiaphas’ House, Southern Steps, Western Wall, Garden Tomb, Gordon’s CalvaryVisit the remains of the House of the High Priest Caiaphas, where it is believed by many that Jesus was held overnight prior to the crucifixion. Continue to the Southern Wall Excavations including the Teaching Steps and many mikvahs. Take a moment to pray at the Western Wall. Reflect on the agony of the cross at Gordon’s Calvary and the exhilaration of the resurrection at the Garden Tomb.

Nov. 20 – Qumran, Ein Gedi, Jericho, Jordan Valley, Beit Shean, TiberiasTravel to the lowest place on earth and visit the ruins of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in the 1940’s. Continue south along the coastline of the Dead Sea to Ein Gedi, which David used as a refuge to hide from King Saul. Enter Jericho and see the remains of the oldest inhabited city in the world. Journey through the Jordan Valley and arrive at Beit Shean, site of one of the 10 cities of the Decapolis. Check in to your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and a good night’s sleep.

Nov. 21 - Boat Ride, Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Mt. of Beatitudes, Jordan RiverEnjoy a Boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee and appreciate the special place this lake had in Jesus’ ministry. Drive along the shores of the Sea of Galilee, passing the area of Magdala, home of Mary Magdalene. Travel to Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee, and stand in the ruins of the synagogue built atop the remains of the one in which Jesus taught. Visit the peaceful Mount of Beatitudes that overlooks the Sea of Galilee. On this hill, Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Remember your baptism at the Yardenit Baptismal Site, where the Jordan River exits the Sea of Galilee on its journey southward.

Nov. 22 - Dan, Caesarea Philippi, Golan HeightsTravel north to visit the tel of Dan, one of Israel’s ancient boundary markers - “From Dan to Beersheba”. Close by is Caesarea Philippi, where Peter proclaimed, “You are the Christ”. Travel through the Golan Heights to gain a better perspective of this region’s strategic value and history both past and present.

Nov. 23 – Nazareth, Megiddo, Caesarea MaritimaRecall Jesus’ first miracle as you pass through Cana. View Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus, from the Mount of Precipice, the place where an enraged hometown mob attempted to throw our Lord off the cliff. Travel the ancient caravan route to Tel Megiddo where 20 different cities lie superimposed upon each other. Journey to Caesarea by the Sea and stand in the place where it is believed Paul addressed King Agrippa and Festus. Explore the extensive remains of the theater and other sites, including a Roman aqueduct along the Mediterranean shore. Enjoy an evening dinner before transferring to the Tel Aviv airport for your flight home.

Nov. 24 – Return to USAReturn home with a transformed faith and memories to last a lifetime!
