Research tool application proposal

Information is a most valuable matter in our days. Ability to get important

information as soon as possible any time can be very helpful in case of any type of

research. From one side Internet provides very broad amount of sources of information

almost for everyone. From the other, this diversity make research very complicated:

without clear understanding of what to search and understanding technology of it,

researchers can be frustrated very easy. Especially school and college students- less

experienced group. Particularly this group of researchers, specifically during first two

years of college doing tons of collecting information works, and most of them more or

less depends on periodical information: newspapers and magazines articles. Periodical

sources are the tricky ones. At first researcher will have a problem with revelation, at

second credibility always will be questionable, at third periodical sources can't stay long

available on the internet- middle age of life for New York Times article, for example,

three-four years (and it's a long one).

To solve all of these problems (more or less of course) and make research of

periodical sources much easier my group decided to create a special tool for research

of periodical information. We design and built it as an application. The work name of the

app is “Darticle”, and ideally it should be newspapers and magazines Twitter, with

Google research tool. The application will combine all English periodicals and sort

through certain filters: time and date, relevance, credibility of source, topic. The

application will be collected only archived information from open resources, in order not

to cross copyright laws. Since idea of application is educational, the major group of

buyers will be educational organizations: colleges, libraries, and archives. Beneficial

part from this application, obviously, will be even bigger for organizations than for single,

private users: at first app will be serve on a field of popularization of archive and library

information, at second it makes research process much easier, which can reflect the

higher level of student's GPA.

In order to be sure that same application not already exist we all as a group did

online background search. As a result we realized that our product is unique and idea of

periodical research tool never being presented before.
