Reducing Sedentary TimeFor best health and wellbeing, young people aged 13–17 years need to: limit seated recreational time including use of electronic media such as
TV, electronic games and computers for entertainment to no more than two hours a day
break up long periods of sitting as often as possible.Sitting for long periods of time is damaging to health, no matter how fit a person is or whether they are also active every day. The amount of time young people spend sitting is strongly influenced by what is happening around them.
