‘Fairways To Horsham 2017’Our team golf event promoting social and sporting development for primary
school children across the Horsham district and the surrounding areas

VenueQualifying events are hosted on individual school sites by a PGA qualified Academy coach. Finals day run at Horsham Golf & Fitness on “The Firs’ short course on Wednesday 5th July 2017.

Age / Gender / Eligibility / Team Size Year 3+4 category: playing in pairs with any gender mix but ideally one boy and one girl per team. Year 5+6 category: playing in pairs with any gender mix but ideally one boy and one girl per team.
FormatDepending on group size, sessions will last up to 60 minutes per class to complete the qualifying event at school – each session can accommodate up to 16 teams (i.e. 32 children)
Dates / TimesThe competition window is 1/3/17 to 9/6/17 with the grand final at Horsham Golf & Fitness to run on Wednesday 5th July 2017
Cost / Payment5-hour school site event costs £175 invoiced by MY Golf Academy3-hour school site event costs £120 invoiced by MY Golf Academy1-hour school site event costs £60 invoiced by MY Golf AcademySchools to receive all of their spend back in the form of golf experience vouchers; i.e. book a 5 hour event and £175 of vouchers for family golf lessons and green fees will be given to use in a fete, raffle or prize draw. All schools receive follow-up vouchers for all participants to attend their local Academy centre.

Weather ConsiderationsIf a cancellation decision is necessary all efforts will be made to communicate to schools promptly; alternative date will be offered.
Kit ConsiderationsAll equipment provided both at school and at the grand final.
Parking For Grand FinalPlenty of free parking at Horsham Golf and Fitness (RH13 0AX)

Other Information‘Fairways to Horsham’ is a unique golf event utilising a GolfParc® holes and other golf challenges in qualifying and ‘full golf’ at the grand final - see www.golfparc.co.uk for more details. Scorecards and pencils will be provided, children will keep score as they play with all scores logged on the day for each age category.Winners at each school will be chosen from the top 6 scoring teams on the day in association with teaching staff. Factors such as fairness, respect and cooperation will be considered when selecting the winning teamTop 18 teams in the area will be invited to finals day. Children who qualify to the final will be given privilege to practice for free at Horsham Golf and Fitness in advance of the day.

“I just wanted to thank you for arranging the brilliantly organised event on Monday. The children, who attended, thoroughly enjoyed their session. They came away feeling proud of themselves and had a real sense of achievement in the progress that they made; much of this was down to the encouragement and support that your coaches gave to them.
The coaches were absolutely brilliant; they provided the children with excellent guidance, advice and added a real sense of fun as well as promoting excellent sportsmanship between the teams too. I thoroughly enjoyed the day too and felt incredibly proud to be a teacher in the Horsham group of schools and proud to have links with companies like yours.
Thank you for the vouchers too – we have passed them on to the PTA and they will make sure that they are put to very good use. We are looking forward to next year’s event already!”
