PIT TYPE WEIGHBRIDGE

The Pit Type Weighbridge offered by us is widely used for heavy duty, varieated road

and complicated excavation work applications.

FEATURES:

Lesser Space Required (as it has no ramps). Rickshaws & Tractor Trolleys can also be weighed as platform is

in flush with ground level. No ramp require for truck movement because it is installed in

land surface level. Costly Foundation.

PITLESS TYPE WEIGHBRIDGE

We manufacture high quality Pitless Weighbridge. These are mostly suitable where

excavation work for foundation is difcult or construction of pit is expensive. Since

the structure is above ground level, vehicles can approach the weigh bridge only

from two directions where the ramps are provided.

This type of Weighbridge requires more space. Pitless Weighbridge has some unique benefits over other types of weighbridges.

In Pitless Weighbridge RCC ramp work must be required at least 3 meters for both side for

easy movement of vehicle.

FEATURES:

Costly pit construction is eliminated. Platform above ground level. No water logging during rainy season. Problem of pit maintenance is eliminated. Easy maintenance since all parts are accessible above ground level.

MODULAR WEIGHBRIDGE

REDUCTION IN LOAD DISTANCE : Our weighbridge can be easily install, dismantled and re install

within a short span of time, it can be constantly transfer to nearest area of use . This will help in

reducing lead distance, reduction of handling cost, manpower, and appreciable improvement in

productivity.

EASY TO MAINTAIN : As our is a rugged design and the system has surprisingly ease of operation

under most harsh condition. The down time due to break down is almost nil and hence the loss

due to break down is also almost nil.

DIFFERENCE : Our modular design which comprises of a fully welded modules rating of the

system due to loose nut & bolts is totally avoided. Such type Being a modular design the length

of the weighbridge can be extended or reduced suiting the site conditions and so no need to

keep separate leads to inconsistency and inaccuracy in weighing.

WARPING OF PLATES : The top deck plate is fully welded and well supported by cross beams

within a span of 1 meter; hence they are rigid and sturdy avoiding warping or bending of

plates. This avoids replacement. Top deck plate, saving lot of time, money and work output.

Since it is rugged the life span is also very high.

EASY TO MOVING : This mobility help in reduction of inventories and capital cost.

BEST FOR ACCURACY : Our product is a highly innovative system, as we as use state of art

electronic and structural design. Consistent accuracy is a basic necessity of any weighbridge.

Our Mobile Weighbridge is manufactured using best raw material, which is procured from

a noted vendor base. This range of bridges does not require any foundation to be

installed. The installation of the product need one month to be completed. The top cover

of the bridge is checkered and the base frame is made of steel. Being a modular designed,

our bridges are featured with bottom frame, platform and ramps. Our weighbridges can

WEIGHBRIDGE

RCC WEIGHBRIDGE

This type of weighbridge (Truck Scale) is of pit type only, and is most suitable for places

with limited space e.g. non-hilly areas where the construction of pit is not a costly affair.

Since the platform is in level with the ground, vehicles can approach the weighbridge from

any direction. Its platform is made of concrete for longer life and zero maintenance, and

platform casting is done at site.

The RCC Weigh Bridge offered by us is widely used for heavy duty, variegated road

and complicated excavation work applications

RCC WEIGHBRIDGE COST:

The cost of material required for construction of concrete platform is approimately 40% less

than that of steel platform

MATERIAL QUALITY:

Quality of Steel is always a suspect owing to the presence of a number of local companies

which make cheaper and inferior quality steel, thereby decreasing the life and performance of

steel components over time whereas the onsite construction of concrete weigh bridges helps

monitor quality capacity.

MAINTENANCE:

Due to rattling of steel structure nuts & bolts gets loosened thereby requiring periodic

lightening. Also steel gets rusted due to changes in the environment over a period. Being a

totally RCC structure, there is no rusting of components in concrete platforms hence they are

totally maintenance free.

DESIGN:

Steel being flexible tends to bend and rattles when the truck comes onto the platform. Due

to this there is a lateral pull of the load cells wherein ideally the load should be transferred

vertically. The concrete platform is a rigid monolithic structure. As soon as the vehicle comes

over the platform, the load gets distributed to all 6-load cells.

STENGTH:

Steel structure being lighter by weight than the gross load of the vehicle coming on the

platform, a cantilever effect takes place with inverse force taking place at the ends

thereby having a tendency to twist the steel structure and causing weighing errors. The

concrete platform being a heavy mass has more stability. Hence, no inverse forces take

place in the platform.

LIGHTENING:

Steel structured weigh bridge are prone to electro-static charge and high electric eld

caused by strong winds & lightening which may damage the weighing instrumentation and

load cells. The platform f concrete structure is totally immune to such environmental

harshness, thereby the system more stable & maintenance free.

LIFE:

The steel platform/girder structure gets week due to rusting and loosening of nuts etc. The

top plate and joints have a bending effect after few years. The concrete platform has a very

long life and no bending effect takes place.

Installation of Axle Weigh in Motion

INSTALLATION :

Vishwa Weighing System recognize that siting of a single

axle weighbridge is of prime consideration and so we offer

an advisory service for location, backed up by easy to follow

instructions and technical assistance.

There are two essential rules which must be followed when weighing axles, namely: (A) The weighing platform must be recessed into the ground at a prepared site and (B) The approach and exit to the weighing platform need to be level to the full length of the longest vehicle to be weighed. Accuracy will be compromised if the approach and exit roadways are not completely level within normal concreting tolerances. Use of our pit frame simplies the construction and ensures that the weighbridge is located correctly.

The Vishwa guide for installation is a comprehensive manual

which describes in details the whole civil works operation.

Our civil engineering team are able to give advice and we

can also provide a complete turn-key package, undertaking

all aspects of the installation and commissioning.

MAINTENANCE :

Where single axle weighbridge is to be used for law

enforcement purposes Vishwa Personnel can train your staff in

calibration, regular check-up procedures and maintenance

schedules. We provide on-going support so that the

AXLE WEIGHING SYSTEM

Axle weighbridges are a very good choice for Mines and Factories, where installations

are required to be quick. Shifting axle weighbridge can be done quickly and needs only a

small pickup truck for transportation.

Axle weigh bridges are very cost effective solution, the user benets from the low equipment cost, low cost of civil work & installation and hence rapid

recovery on investment.

Civil work takes only 3 to 4 days time and the installation can be done in just one day. With it’s many advantages and cost benets, axle weighbridge is highly rewarding solution with no compromise.

Overloading of commercial vehicles has a major impact on the life expectancy of road

networks. The cost of premature road failure and repairs is a major burden on many

governments particularly in developing countries where this problem diverts vital

funding that could otherwise be spent on health and education.

There is also the human cost, where lives are lost on a daily basis due to vehicles being

dangerously overloaded, and this affects braking, steering and vehicle stability. In many

developing countries, overloading is an everyday occurrence with as many as 60% of the

trucks being overloaded. The degree of overloading is also dramatic. In Europe, overloads

of 5-10% are a concern, in countries such as Pakistan, India and the UAE, many vehicles

are found to be 30-50% overloaded.

POINTS DIGITAL LOAD CELLS ANALOGUE LOAD CELLS

ACCURACY

Each DLC has an individual A/D converter. This helps in generating higher internal counts for the total system and hence a lower division size can be achieved leading to higher accuracy.

Signals of all 4/6/8 load cell are shorted and connected to a single A/D converter in the indicator.This leads to a smaller number of internal counts from the ADC which leads to a high value of division size and hence lesse accuracy.

ELECTRICAL NOISE

ADC and micro controller are built in the load cell & the output is serial digital signal. There is no effect of electrical noise even if the load cell cable is long or the environment is electrically noisy.

Output of combined analog load cell is from 0.1 μv to 3 μv per unit load. This is a very small and sensitive signal which is sensitive to any electrical noise present around the cable and indicator and may lead to unstable weight display if the cable length is long or the environment is electrically noisy.

CALIBRATION

Are pre calibrated with weight and hence no calibration is required in the field. Only a small corrective calibration may be required if there is major structure deformity.

Calibration has to be done in the field using test weights. This is a very expensive and cumbersome process.

NO CORNER

ERROR

As every load is pre-calibrated in the factory, there is no corner error during installation or even with regular usage.

Corner has to be tested and removed manually which is a very tedious and expensive process. If corner errors are generated during regular usage, it is very difficult to find and remove these as it will require operator and engineer skills.

REPLACEMENT Since the DLC are pre-calibrated in the factory, it can be easily replaced in the field without the hassle of scale calibration or corner error removal.Even if a different capacity load cell is used for replacement, the result is the same.

If any ADC is replaced in the field, it will require scale calibration with weights and also corner error removal. This is because the load cells have variation in their analog outputs which has to be matched with the other load cells used in the scale.

DISTANCE BETWEEN LOAD

CELLS

As the output signal is digital, the distance between load cells & indicator can be as long as 500m without use of signal repeaters.

As the output is analog with values in micro volt, the same is very sensitive to electrical noise pick-ups. Under this circumstance, the distance between load cells and indicator is limited to 20 meters.

number of advantages over other designs.

Units like the one shown opposite have

built-in jacking bolts which can be used to

support the weighing structure during

installation thus allowing the live load cells

to be fitted just prior to commissioning,

avoiding damage. The load cell is designed

to rock on its mounting base to

accommodate misalignment in mounting

surfaces whilst still being retained. The

mounting arrangement also permits limited

movement to allow for thermal expansion

and contraction as well as lift off protection.

Compression load cells are designed for the

accurate measurements of compressive

loads, weights and forces. They can be used

in silo tanks, tank farms, vessels,

weighbridge and truck weighing. When a

compressive force or load is applied, a load

cell will produce a change in output.

Accuracy - Normally quoted as either a percentage of full scale output or a percentage of the applied load. The

accuracy gure is the combined error caused by non linearity, repeatability and hysteresis error values in the load cell.

Rated Capacity - The maximum load over which the load cell which operate within its specications.

Compensated Temperature Range - the range of temperatures over which the output from the cell is

compensated. If used outside this range the output cannot be guaranteed to follow the specications.

Excitation - the voltage applied to the Ex+ and Ex- wires, normally quoted as minimum and maximum

values e.g. 5 to 15VDC or as a recommended value and maximum value.

Hysteresis - When a load cell is taken from zero to full load and back to zero the mV output for a given

load value will be slightly different when the load is rising to when the load is falling. The maximum

difference is used to calculate the hysteresis. Normally quoted as a percentage of full load.

Input Resistance - the resistance measured across S+ and S- with load cell disconnected and no load.

Output resistance - the nominal resistance measured between Ex+ and Ex- with load cell disconnected and no

load.

Insulation Resistance - Normally measured at 50VDC this is the minimum resistance between the

metal body of the LC and any of its electrical connections

Mechanical Failure - the load at which the cell is likely to fail mechanically i.e. break or deform.

Rated Output - the nominal mV/V output of the load cell.

Repeatability - a measure of the ability of the load cell to repeatedly give the same output for the same

load under the same conditions. The error is normally quoted as a percentage of full load.

Safe Load - the amount by which the capacity of the cell can be exceeded e.g. 125% of capacity.

Temperature Effect On Span - usually quoted as a percentage of full scale this is the change in output

at full load due to temperature changes. e.g. 0.01 %/10°C means a change of up to 0.01 % of full load

output per temperature change of 10 degrees C.

Temperature Effect On Zero - as above but measured at zero load.

Zero Balance - the output of the load cell at no load, normally quoted as a percentage of full load. Also know as

zero offset

Zero Return (Creep) - the difference between the mV output at zero before a load is applied and the mV

output at zero when returning from being loaded (after being given time to stabilizes). Normally quoted

as a percentage of full load over a time period e.g. 0.03% (30mins).

Weighbridges are vulnerable to damage by lighting strikes, the consequences of which can be

very expensive to repair, not to mention the knock - on effect of t he weighbridge being out of

order.

There are various types of lightning strikes, but the one that concern us is the dramatic forked

lightning. A weighbridge, by nature, is very unlikely to be the tallest structure in it’s locality and so

will rarely be directly struck by lightning. If it does receive a direct hit then no weighbridge in the

world could with stand the electrical energy that would strike it and then pass through it’s load

cells as the easiest route to earth.

Shering approach the problem of lightning protection from the point of view of preventing

damage from this dissipated energy. We do this by using a PATENTED load cell assembly unit

which fits an insulating component between the ground and the weighbridge deck. The dielectric

properties of this insulator are such that it will restrict the voltage potential across the

weighbridge an d it s load cells to less that 100V, which is the level the load cells calcom fortably

with stand without damage. >Over 10 years of use on shering weighbridge around the world has

proved this insulator to be both electrically durable and structurally strong enough in the most

arduous conditions.
