Awesome Adam Adventures! 2016 $1,000 Summer Program

Scholarship

Do you dream of adventure?

Do you want a travel, service, and/or learning experience?

Adam Wise, Bearden High School Class of 2011, was a student of the world who loved to adventure through his mind, his heart, his music, his drawing, and travel. To his nana who spearheaded this scholarship, Adam was always known as ‘Awesome Adam’. After watching pictures of her trip to Ecuador and the movie “Benjamin Button”, Adam said, “Nana, I’m not going to live a life of traditional success. I’m going to live a life of adventures!” Awesome Adam Adventures is the result.

Family and friends got pulled into Adam’s orbit by his love of life, his wacky and contagious sense of humor, and his eternal sense of fun. How he loved the life he was given! Adam’s family and friends want you to have life adventures as he did and are funding that opportunity. You can enrich your life through a travel, service, and/or learning program! As a student at Bearden, you can apply for the ‘Awesome Adam Adventures! Summer Program Scholarship’! Two $1,000 scholarships will be granted this year! The application is now available in the College & Career Center. You must be at least 16 at the start of the summer program you wish to attend, and have a 3.0 GPA. The deadline date to apply is April 18, 2016.

P.S. If you are looking for some “Awesome Adventures” for this summer, check the Summer Program Book. Go to the BHS website, hover over “School Counseling”, select “College & Career Center”, click on “Summer Programs” (left-hand side) and click on the link embedded in the announcement!
