GRAND KNIGHT’S MESSAGE
On June 9, 2011, the members of St. Anne’s Council elected me to hold the position of Grand Knight, and for that I
thank them. With the amount of PGKs in the wings and the membership available, I am positive that any help I need is only a call away. I plan to keep the council in the forward motion it has been going, as well as to further the membership to bigger and greater accomplishments. With our expanding membership, I hope that I will see more of you at our meetings and I look forward to greeting all of you. Have a safe and healthy summer

LOUIS C. BOSSOJUNE 13, 2011
We are saddened by the loss of a great friends of St. Anne’s Council. Lou Bosso became active in our council from the very beginning. He joined the Order in march of 1958. He worked on committees, he was and active bowler. Lou was a devoted husband, father and Catholic with a strong faith in God. There isn’t enough space to go into all that Lou did for St. Anne’s Council, but let’s go into one job that Lou loved. Lou was the editor of The Voice for MANY YEARS. He was the editor when The Voice went out TWICE A MONTH. Some of us “editors” who think this is a tough job, should think of what it took to get this out twice a month. Lou, you did a great job, and the Council and the Order are better for it. Rest in peace.

On August 30, 2011, the Queens County Conference will be having a fundraiser for Special Olympics. This is going to take place at Citi Field. Tickets are $30.00 per person and we will be sitting in the BIG APPLE Section. The Queens Conference had to block off 500 tickets for the game. We must sell 500 or more tickets in order that 25% of the tickets will go to the New York State Special Olympics. The tickets are moving very well in
other councils in Queens. As of this writing St. Anne’s Council has already purchased 30 tickets. Don’t get shut out. Contact Dennis Ruiz PGK for tickets or more information. The game is between the Mets and the Marlins
on August 30, 2011 at 7:00 PM. Let’s get behind this worthy cause.

HERE AND THERE
It doesn’t seem as though two (2) years have passed since Bernie Sorrentino took office as the Grand Knight of St. Anne’s Council. In the final week of his administration, Bernie is busy overseeing the installation of a new floor in the Pinta Lounge. He is working right up to the final hour. Our incoming Grand Knight has many plans of his own for membership approval and for the continued improvement of the Council. Come down to future meetings and be a part of that continued growth.
The outside grounds of the council have never looked so beautiful and so well cared for. Professional landscapers are in envy of the work performed by our incoming Grand Knight and his wife, Carm. There is only one way to appreciate their work, and that is to come down to the council and take a walk around the grounds.
Our Chairman of the Chaplain’s Fund wishes to thank all who participated in the last “Little Blue Envelope” drive. We are continuing to help the two seminarians we have been assisting over the past few years. We are able to do this because of your continued support of the “Chaplain’s Fund”. I thank all for their unwavering support.Bill Chuber, Chairman
While we are handing out praise, let us not forget Jerry Rivera PGK. The Statue of St. Anne and the Blessed Mother, which is centered on our front lawn, was in much need of re-pair and an artist’s hand. We were unaware of this side of Jerry’s talents. After patching, sanding and much care, the statue is more beautiful than any you could buy today. Great job, Jerry!
