Advice to Underclassmen

“I would recommend that you introduce yourself to your teach-ers at the begining of the year so that you’ll feel more comfortable participating in class and asking for help when it’s needed. Your teachers are there to support you, so get to know them because they want to see you suceed.”

“Worrying about things you have no control over is the worst way to go about your high school career. Just control what you can and have fun.”

“Don’t rush your time at MoHi. Stay present. You are only in high school once, and these next four years are going to fly by.”

“Don’t procrastinate!”

“I would tell underclassmen to not ditch, because ESS isn’t fun.”

“Stay focused on your grades and studies. It’s really not that hard; just keep up. It will help in the long run.”

“Have fun in high school. Do things that you find fun and in-teresting and not just to build your resume for college, and don’t worry about everything in high school. Years down the road, things you worried about in high school won’t matter.”

...and what we’ll miss

“I’ll miss the Cross Country and Mock Trial teams. They were definitely second and third families for me!” - Jessica DeLira

“I’ll miss being able to have people to guide me when I felt lost.” - Brenda Pacheco

“I’ll miss the experience of growing up with all of my friends.” - Jason Guevara

“I’ll miss the comfort of high school most. Knowing who everyone is and where everything is. I think that is something I forgot to appreciate while I was here.” - Margaret Peterson

“I’ll miss the friday night lights, going to In-N-Out after football or basketball games, and spending time with my friends.” - Daniel Mosarah

“I’ll miss the people I met here. From my best friends and favorite teachers to the clubs and groups I’ve become a part of; I will never forget the people I’ve come to know here at MoHi or how they’ve impacted my life.”- Jack Ford

“I’ll miss the teachers that reached out to me at my lowest. They definitely found a way to bring back the spark for my motivation.” - Kevin Garcia Roldan
