Sentiments from The MMA Graduating Class of 2007

“I believe that I do fit the profile of a Mercy graduate as Mercy has offered me unique experiences and opportunities to become the young woman I am to-day. The service requirements each year not only taught me about service, but taught me to appreciate all my talents and to respect others. Mercy has motivated me to strive for my best in all aspects of life, and now, as I am ready to graduate, I do indeed feel empowered to take my place in the world.”

“I feel very connected to MMA. I am a Woman of Mercy now. I am so proud and will stay con-nected with MMA forever. I feel the school has prepared me for life. I am grateful that I was fortunate enough to attend and become a part of the Circle of Mercy.”

“I think that I, along with all of my classmates this year, are profiles of a Mercy graduate. It was out-standing to see how many of us have gone above and beyond the required service hours at our last assembly. The respect is very visible to all as you walk the halls. As I graduate in a couple weeks, I know I am ready to take my place in the world.”

“I really feel that I am a woman of Mercy. I couldn’t picture myself going to any other high school. I really feel like I grew and became very independent in the last four years, and I wouldn’t have done that without attending Mount Mercy.”

“Mount Mercy has helped prepare me for my next step in life as an independent, proactive

and responsible young woman.”

“I feel like I have learned enough to take on the world. Thank you, Mercy!”

“I believe that I have come to be the profile of a Mercy Graduate because I have been given the tools to succeed and Mount Mercy has helped me along the way.”

AHERA Compliance Activities

Date: May 30, 2007

AHERA is a federal law enacted in 1987 which requires all school districts to re-inspect facilities for asbestos containing building material. Our facilities have been inspected and response actions are planned to insure a continued safe environment for our students and employees. Activities include training of maintenance staff to prevent disturbance of asbestos and periodic reinspection and surveillance activities by trained personnel. As required by regulations, Mount Mercy Academy’s Triennial Inspection was completed as of January 18, 2007 and is available for your review in the Main Office. If you have any questions or concerns in this regard, feel free to contact me.
