    An electronic control module (ECM) for optimizingfuel and spark requirements is available in kit form(gasoline only)

    Vortec 4.3L Feature Focus

    GM Powertrain takes its expertise in designingoutstanding Vortec truck and SUV engines andleverages it to make sophisticated yet extremelydurable industrial engines. In addition, the

    well-recognized Vortec brand name by itself hasbecome a valuable selling tool for OEMs.

    Hydraulic roller valve lifters and roller rocker arms helpprovide smooth, quiet and efcient operation.

    A counter-rotating balance shaft cancelsthe primary engine vibrations found in90 V-6 engines. The result is smooth

    performance and low noise.

    The Integral Air Fuel Module (IAFM) incorporates severalcomponents into one assembly. The bottom of the inlet manifoldis made of iron and the top is made of aluminum. Integratedinto the module is an electronic throttle body. Also included is acombination manifold absolute pressure (MAP) and manifold airtemperature (MAT) sensor.

    All GM industrial engines are Vortec engines. Vortecmeans uncompromised power outstanding powerwith no sacrice in fuel efciency or durability andvery little required maintenance.
