1.0 Minutes of the 32nd Meeting of Southern Region constituents regarding Connectivity / LTA Applications
The Minutes of the 32nd Meeting of Southern Region constituents regarding Long Term Access and Connectivity applications of
Southern Region held on 25.04.2019 was issued vide letter 08.05.2019. No comments/observations have been received,
accordingly the minutes may be confirmed.
2.0 Proposal for LTA application
Following LTA application has been received by CTU for transfer of power from Tuticorin-II to ER as target region. Details of the application are given below:

M/s Shapoorji Pallonji Infrastructure Capital Company Pvt. Ltd. has already been granted Stage-II Connectivity for 500MW at
Tuticorin-II, TamilNadu. System studies have been carried for transfer of 250 MW power from proposed wind farms in Tuticorin-II,
Tamil Nadu to ER (target region). From the system studies, it is observed that line loadings are generally in order with the
existing/under construction transmission system for evacuation/transfer of 250 MW power from Tuticorin-II to ER. Study results are
enclosed as Exhibit-I & II
Accordingly, it is proposed that LTA may be granted to M/s Shapoorji Pallonji Infrastructure Capital Company Pvt. Ltd for 250 MW
with the existing/under construction transmission system.
The LTA grantees are required to the sign the Long Term Access Agreement within 30 days from the date of intimation of Grant of
LTA. No extension shall be granted on any ground and in case of failure to sign the Agreement, Grant of LTA shall be revoked
without any prior notice. The transmission charges shall be applicable from the date of start of LTA, as sought by applicant,
irrespective of the status of commissioning of generation project. The wind/solar generation project developers shall provide
adequate reactive compensation so that under all dispatch scenarios Power Factor of 0.98 shall be maintained and should also
comply with the provisions of LVRT (Low Voltage Ride Through)/ HVRT ( High Voltage Ride Through) in accordance with
Connectivity Standards of CEA and CERC order in Petition No. 420/MP/2014.
