This qualifica on reflects the role of individuals who use a broad range ofevent-related skills and sound knowledge of event managementprocesses to coordinate event opera ons. They operate independentlyand make opera onal event management decisions.

Events are diverse in nature and this qualifica on provides a pathway towork for event or exhibi on organisa ons opera ng in a range ofindustries, including the tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, cultural,and community sectors.

The diversity of employers includes event or exhibi on managementcompanies, event venues, or organisa ons that organise their ownevents. Work could be undertaken in an office environment wherethe planning of events takes place, on-site at venues where eventsare staged or a combina on of both.
