FAQS: STATE EXPORT EXCELLENCE AWARDS APPLICATION

FAQ 1: I am a new entrant in the export market. Am I eligible to apply for the State Export

Excellence Awards ANS: Please note that for the State Export Excellence Awards are planned for the export

entities as indicated in the application for having done exports in the previous three years namely, 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 and they would be considered for evaluation.

However, if the entity has completed one financial year of business can apply as a Debutant exporter for a Special Certificate of export excellence award.

FAQ 2: Do I have to be a Member of VTPC to be eligible to apply for the Award ANS: No, it is not mandatory to be a Member of VTPC to apply for this Award. However, it

would be better for further facilitation to become member of VTPC. You may please contact VTPC office for further assistance for enrolling you as a member.

FAQ 3: Under Section 11 of the Application, what is the definition of the various categories

listed ANS: For the Definition of the various categories listed please refer Annexure -1 of the

Karnataka State’s “New Industrial Policy 2020-25”. You may find a copy of the New Industrial policy at https://vtpc.karnataka.gov.in/storage/pdf-files/Policy%20Links/Industrial%20Policy%202020-

FAQ 4: Under Section 12 of the Application Form, among other points, there is a mention

of providing details regarding ‘conduct of market survey, trade delegation sent abroad’ etc. Are these compulsory pre requisites for being eligible for the Award?

ANS: Please note that the above mentioned factors would be invoked for evaluation for

deciding the State Export Excellence Award, if more than one exporter has made export of the same value and in the same category. Hence these details are important. (For details, please refer G.O/Guidelines https://vtpc.karnataka.gov.in/storage/pdf-files/Export%20Awards%20GO.pdf )

Further, the details sought under this Section (12), needs to be a comprehensive one with the necessary supporting documents to substantiate the same.

FAQ 5: Under Section 13 of the Application Form, you have sought details of Value of exports/ production etc. Please specify the periods for which this information should be provided.

ANS: Information for the three years namely 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 need to be

shared from your end.

FAQ 6: Under Annexure A and Annexure B, (Bank Certificate and C.A Certificate

respectively), please specify the number of years for which data has to be furnished ANS: While, as mentioned in Answer to FAQ 5, information for the period 2017-18, 2018-

19 and 2019-20 has to be furnished, as an additional information for our purpose, please share data for 2015-16 and 2016-17 as well if available.
