ENERAL INFORMATION ABOUTVoluntary Work-camps Association of Nigeria (VWAN) was founded in 1963 principally to reachout to rural community and employ all resources at her disposal to alleviate the challenges ofrural community !t is o"served that rural areas are suffering from neglect and in most cases lackof good support Various efforts of the government at meeting these "asic essentials have not"een sufficient hence the need for the organi#ation to arrange young people to work together withthe community to reali#e these "asic necessities of life $ome of the rural areas lack theseinfrastructures and essential facilities

Also% the level of illiteracy in the rural areas is very high as a result of inade&uate learning toolsand dependa"le educational structure like classrooms and school materials to improve theeducation standard of the people

VWAN appreciate these comple' pro"lems and therefore mo"ilise the well-meaning youngpeople from various continents to parley with the community to carry out these developmentalpro(ects
