Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Academy is nestled in the heart of Sunset Park – a vibrant and rich multicultural community. Students and faculty come from various parts of the world, which makes the academy community an extremely diverse learning environment. The academy is proud to have a dedicated faculty and staff that has a combined total of more than 200 years of teaching experience. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Academy is committed to providing students with all the tools and experiences they need to become active members of an ever-changing global society. The academy uses Chromebooks as part of its curriculum and has STEM pro- gram for fifth through eighth-grade class- es. Students also understand the impor- tance of serving others and are actively involved in monthly school service proj- ects to help those in need. A Roman Catholic school under the auspices of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Academy endeavors to devel- op the gifts, talents and abilities within each individual child by allowing them to explore their own uniqueness. Committed to developing the whole person, the academy strives to instruct students in the Catholic faith, instill Gospel values and provide a quality education that fosters the spiritual, moral and intellectual growth of each student so that they may grow to meet their fullest potential. It is the academy’s goal to grad- uate students who are living examples of their faith and who value the gift of a keen mind and curious intellect. Ethical, Responsible, Productive Our Lady of Perpetual Help exists to provide a Christ-centered education that will empower its students to become ethical, responsible, productive Catholic men and women. Through the integration of spirituality, prayerfulness and the practice of Catholic tradition, the faculty of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is dedicated to the moral, intellectual, social and cultural development of students. The academy challenges students to strive for personal excellence and sends them forth to witness Jesus’ values in this ever-changing, multicultural society.
