    General Description

    The WAA2890 is a Class-AB audio power amplifierdesigned for mobile phones and other portablecommunication devices. It is capable of delivering 1.28watts of continuous average power to an 8 BTL load withless than 1% distortion (THD+N) from a 5VDC powersupply.

    The WAA2890 was designed specifically to provide high

    quality output power with a minimal amount of externalcomponents. It does not require output couplingcapacitors or bootstrap capacitors. And with ultra lowshutdown current, the WAA2890 is ideally suited formobile phone and other low voltage applications whereminimal power consumption is a primary requirement.With special pop-click eliminating circuit, the WAA2890

    provides perfect pop-click characteristic during turn-onand turn-off transitions.

    The WAA2890 is unity-gain stable and can beconfigured by external gain-setting resistors.
