Final Art Project1. Choose a work from art history and re-interpret it

Option #1:

CHANGE THE MEDIUM–Change the medium from the original1. Example: take a 2-D painting and make it 3-D, Make a painting

into a sculpture

Option #2:

MODERNIZE –Change the subject matter of the work so it is appropriate for today’s generation/audience

2. Example: Recreate the “Arnolfini Wedding” with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie OR a Star Wars Version

Option #3:

RESTYLE--Change the style of a work3. Example: Recreate “Mona Lisa” in the Pop Art Style

2. Design is Creative and shows INTENTIONAL THOUGHT

The re-interpretation should make sense and SHOULD NOT be a random pairing

3. Design pays attention to DETAIL

4. Minimum Size Requirement (2-D AND 3-D): 9in x 12in

5. Design MUST BE ORIGINAL, DO NOT COPY SOMETHING FROM THE INTERNET!!
