Design*Sponge is a design blog run by Brooklyn-based writer, Grace BonneyDesign sponge is website not only for professional designers but also for people who just like to work on little design projects around the house, or would like activities to do with their children, etc.

Before I get started on the things to do on design sponge I will talk about design sponge’s scholarship. Design sponge offers a scholarship to art and design students who are either in high school, Graduate Students, Undergraduate Students. All you have to do in apply and prove you are in a art and design program.

Also design sponge offers businesses advertisement on their website. They have different packages for small business owners or for larger companies.

And now design sponge has a book out called design sponge at home. It is avalbile at many book store and on amazon.com

Before and after

The first thing I will talk about is before and after. Before and after is where people post pictures of their designs before and after, and they write one to two paragraphs about their design. Most people usually put up pictures of spaces around their homes. Also other designers can comment on the pictures and say what they think and give ideas.

DIY

DIY (Do It Yourself) is where people can go and a see step by step process of designs. You can use do it yourself to see transformations of a room, or for things such as how to make a pillow. You can filter diy by difficulty, prices, materials ,and Technique.
