It can cause Fire, serious shock and burn injuries if improperly used or if equipment is poorly maintained. Every person living or using ____________ facilities in ___________Camp must follow these Instructions to reduce electrical and fire hazards: 1. Electrical appliances can be fire hazards. Be sure to turn off all appliances before leaving the offices and rooms. 2. If electrical equipment gives off a strange odor, disconnect it immediately. 3. Promptly disconnect and replace cracked, frayed, or broken electrical cords. 4. Keep extension cords clear of doorways and other areas where they can be stepped on or can be damaged. 5. Don’t use equipment with worn or damaged cords and cables. 6. Plugs should fit securely into outlets, but never force a plug into an outlet if it doesn’t fit. Check for outlets that have loose-fitting plugs, which can overheat and lead to fire. 7. Ensure that all appliances are in good condition.
