Slide 5 Typhoid Fever Caused by drinking water contaminated with the feces of an infected person. Fever, profuse sweating, diarrhea, enlarged liver, death. Slide 6 Dracunculiasis Also called guinea worm disease. Caused by drinking water contaminated with water fleas. Fleas devlope into large worms that cause painful sores and loss of limbs. Slide 7 Availability of Safe Water Our water is safe because it is treated. 20% of the world population does not have easy access to safe water.
