It was wonderful to see so many of our children (and staff) entering into the spirit of the day by coming to school in some fantastic - and very colourful - costumes. During the day, children had the opportunity to take part in a ‘Wally Hunt’ around the school, which challenged them to find the Wally character and collect words to make into a sentence. Thank you to all of the children and parents for their costume efforts and a particular thank you to Miss Cawley for organising the whole day including the assembly, Extreme Reading competition and the Wally hunt Extreme Reading Competition We were blown away by the number of entries and the effort that everyone had gone to with their photographs for the ‘Extreme Reading competition’. Thank you to everyone who entered – we really enjoyed looking at all of your photographs! The overall winners who received a £5 voucher to spend at the book fair were - Elizabeth D - Yr5, Akis K - Yr4 and Corey & Caitlin M - Yr1. Well done! All of the entries that were received will be displayed on a special board in school and the winning entries have been displayed on the whole school Class Dojo page. Hearsall Hatchlings! On Tuesday we welcomed some special visitors into school – some eggs that were just about to hatch! Our fabulous Reception children have been looking after the eggs so beautifully – keeping them warm and even writing welcome letters to them! On Thursday we were thrilled to see the first of the eggs hatching! By the end of the day on Thursday, seven eggs had hatched and Reception have named them Mario, Princess, Moana, Sprinkles, Batman, Lucy and Poppy. They children have loved looking after the eggs and the chicks and can’t wait to see the final three hatch! Keep updated with their progress on Class Dojo.
