SHIPBUILDING.Hutchison Ports TNG has experience within the Mexican shipbuilding industry through the fabrication of tanker vessels and ASD tugboats, drilling platforms for gas facilities, main steel structure of combi coasters and combi freighters, as well as floating docks, chemical barges, patrol and fishing vessels, among others.

TNG was recognized by SEMAR as one of the Mexican shipyards with more capacity and infrastructure for vessel construction, and performed the full shipbuilding of 4 ASD Tugboats for PEMEX. hutchisonportstng.com

SHIPBUILDING.PEMEX‘s ASD Tugboats built at TNG Shipyard have a length of 31.5m and breadth of 11.2m, a draft of 4.2m and 12 knots of speed, two vessels will have a bollard pull of 50 tons and the other two will have a bollard pull of 60 tons.

The 4 tugs have been designed to perform operations in port and sea tales such as:

YATCH MAINTENANCE.


PORT EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE.Maintenance to remove salt from crane structures and touch up on exposed areas that present corrosion, to stop the deterioration of structures and extend their useful life period.

Hutchison Ports TNG performs the cleaning, sandblasting, painting and steel renewal placing the instruments on scaffoldings to avoid blocking the crane operations and reduce the stops during the maintenance works.

SCRAPPING.The scrapping service involves a scrapping program designed by our engineers, where they cut blocks of up to 60 tons weight, through precise analysis and calculations that allow 2 cranes of 100 tons capacity for their unloading, in order to assure the integrity of the vessel while being afloat.

Hutchison Ports TNG has an infrastructure department formed with civil and industrial engineers, who have conducted the fabrication, transportation and installation of structural beams that currently reinforces the current inferior ramp at the rail ferry terminal in the mid level of API Coatzacoalcos, in Veracruz; They are capable of perfoming civil works such as:

Hutchison Ports TNG offers cleaning and painting services for steel plates and shotblast profiling according to the ISO 8501 regulations, with an anchor profile of 63 microns and then coated with welding primer with up to 6 months of environmental resistance.

Likewise, Hutchison Ports TNG offers Carbon steel-plate cutting, stainless steel or aluminum with plasma machinery cutting services, through numeric control in widths ranging from 3 to 35 mm, straight cutting with bevel on the sides and steel plaque cutting services with oxicutting machinery through numeric control for widths ranging from 25 to 1150 mm on the straight cutted sides.hutchisonportstng.com

Our Machine Workshop has 27 certified equipment , a hoisting capacity of up to 10 tons and specialized staff for different mechanic processes supported by ISO 9001:2008 regulations, in order to satisfy different client needs, such as rectifying winch components, bushing machining for the horns of the control and propelling system. AS well as fabrication of different components:

Hutchison Ports TNG offers metalized spray services to pieces that require dimension recovery, repairing and restoring due to wearing and corrosion. This process is applied through thermal spraying to coat and Paint metallic pieces and structures, it is considered a cold work since it avoids deformities in the materials.

WELDING TRAINING.Hutchison Ports TNG also offers training programs for welding and Steel fabrication with a theoretical and practical syllabus adaptable to all the needs of the organization through certified instructors. The curses can be taught at the shipyard or in our clients’ facilities.

Welding: FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW, GMAW, methods, mastering the processes in positions: 1F, 1G, 2F, 2G, 3F, _3G, 4F AND 4G. Our competitive advantage is the certification of the participants of the course. Perimeter and area calculations, sketching and cutting with oxi –cut and emery, as well as welding assembling.



The shipyard has a Continuous Improvement department and an Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Protection department, which assure our clients are provided with the maximum care, attention to detail, and work performance, since our processes attend the highest quality standards, safety policies, port protection and environmental care; Likewise, Hutchison Ports TNG has a fully equipped medical centre, ambulance and emergency brigades to protect the integrity and life of all the people in the facilities.
