• Thermally upgraded insulation is wrapped aroundsmooth copper conductors.

• Additional wraps of high strength paper are added toprovide rugged protection for the conductor insulation.

•Winding cylinders, end rings, tie strips and keyspacer materials are purchased from Weidmann, China.

WindingsProduction Process

Cores

• Step lapped fully mitered cores are used inpower designs. The required widths of lowloss core steel are purchased from NipponSteel, Japan.

• Laminations are cut to length on GEORG cut-to-length line with step-lap cut and automaticstacking functions to high dimensional accuracy.

• Special clamping equipment ensures the tightness of steel core.

• Assembled in dust-free workshop

Production Process

• Fully automatic vapor phase drying plant.

• Drying cycle time depends on the size of the transformer. All transformers regardless of sizeapply this process.

• Complete interior assembly applies hot vapor dryingprocedure to remove moisture prior to vacuum fillingwith oil.
