NEW CLASS ON EPHESIANSTom Kipp is teaching a 15-week study of the Book of Ephesians entitled A New Creation in Christ. The study will be held on Saturday evenings at 4:45 pm in W27, and Sundays at 10:30 am in W30. You are invited to attend!

MEN’S MINISTRY NEWSJanuary 27: We are studying Authentic Manhood, the 33 Series, which gives men a vision for manhood as modeled by Jesus in his 33 years on earth. Ses-sion 5 is The Four Faces of Manhood #2, 7 am in the Chapel.

THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE

Luke 2:34–35 — And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is opposed (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), so that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.” (ESV)

THE TRUTH PROJECT BY FOCUS ON THE FAMILY This class meets in W28 at 10:30 am Sundays. This study Is an excellent starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective and developing a biblical worldview. Videos include Dr. Del Tackett, Ravi Zacharias, Os Guinness, and R.C. Sproul. Mark and Bobbie Post facilitate this class.

WILD GAME POTLUCKSave the date! Friday, January 18, 2019, is our annual Wild Game Pot-luck, with special guest speaker Kami McGann. Tickets are $10 each or $40 for a famly of four or more, and go on sale starting December 29–30.

VISIT ISRAEL AND GERMANY IN 2020Planning is underway for a 12-day trip to Israel and Germany, including tickets to the Passion Play in Oberam-mergau, in June of 2020. If you are interested, please pick up a brochure at the Welcome Center.

ECC HEAR THE CRY MISSIONS FOR DECEMBER:Thank you so much for your donations of clothing for Boise Rescue Mission/City Light and animal beds and food for the Idaho Humane Society (Randy B Funk project 2018). Thanks to all the ECC volunteers who served Boise Rescue Mission in person at their annual holiday meals and in the warehouse. We are also grateful for all the gifts of toys at the Family Christmas event.

These organizations serve over 1,000 meals a day in the Treasure Valley in winter months. ($2.05 per meal/$20.50 for 10 meals, etc.) You can still make a plan to have each family member purchase a meal, or give up a cup of coffee for two meals (write BRM Meals in the memo line).

Thank you for your incredible generosity, ECC Family. The Christmas Giving Tree and Holiday Meals project has helped 46 families, including some from the Paradise Fire. We are so grateful for your compassion for those in need in our community and beyond.

CONNECT / MAKE A DIFFERENCE

STARTING POINTStarting Point is a new version of our Christianity 101–401 series. Taught by Dr. Steve Crane and other pastoral staff, it will be offered on Sunday mornings starting January 6 at 10:30 am in W28. If you are new to the church or have never attended 101–401, this four-week series is for you. Come learn about who we are, what we believe, and how to get connected at Eagle Christian Church through serving and small groups.

HAITI MISSIONOur Haiti mission team is headed back to Haiti March 24–30. We are excited to be going, and thankful for the funds raised by our Hilltoppers group to support this trip. Any ques-tions, contact Jakob King, [email protected].
