Laboratoire national de Santé Etablissement public Direction PhD Student in Infectious Diseases and Cancer Epidemiology (M/F) The Surveillance & Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases Section within the Microbiology Department of the Laboratoire National de Santé (National Health Laboratory) is recruiting a doctoral student for the research project Papillux funded by the Fonds National de la Recherche. This project’s objective is to investigate the impact of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination program in Luxembourg. In particular we will study the epidemiology of HPV infections in young women by comparing the diversity of HPV genotypes in vaccinated and unvaccinated young women. This project is a collaboration between the Laboratoire National de Santé, the Inspection Générale de la Sécurité Sociale, the Direction de la Santé and the Planning Familial. We are seeking applications from biomedical, mathematical and social science graduates with a strong interest to pursue a research career in infectious diseases or cancer epidemiology. The ideal candidate has obtained a Master’s degree, has a good command of written English and can adapt to a French speaking working environment. The PhD position is funded for 3 years at a fixed level of 2.928€ per month.
