September 8th –Progress reports will be available to print from Parent Portal September 9 th - Ancient Greece quiz September 12 th -Ancient Greece Test September 26 th -Out of uniform day September 19 th -Fire Safety Contest deadline. October 9 th -16 th - Scholastic Book Fair Ice Cream-Every Wednesday $1 Class wish list: dry erase markers, candy Word Study Long I Patterns (ie, igh, y, i_e) Students will have the same pattern for two weeks at a time and test every other Friday. Starting this Friday I will be taking spelling tests for a grade. Words you can practice sounding out/spelling at home with this pattern: pie, quiet, fight, height, my, fly, fire, surprise, prize. Also, there will be a set of high frequency words on the spelling test each week. They are not pattern words, but words your child needs to know how to spell. These should be studied at home:
