PLEASE NOTE: Stallions & Colts may be handled and ridden by Juniors, Please make sure an adult is always to hand and please only do this providing the horse is suitably mannered for the task at hand.

Ring 1 – Grass Arena: Judge: Miss L Calcutt1. In hand Open Youngstock, 1, 2 and 3yr old. Colt, filly or gelding. Any bred/type.
Colts to be shown in a suitable bridle in guidance with their respective breed rules.
2. In Hand Novice Pony/horse. Not to have won more than two 1st prizes in any in hand showing before the 1st Jan 2018. This class is open to all breeds and types.
3. In hand Veteran. 15 yrs + open to all breeds.
4. In Hand Mare. Any age, any type
5. Mountain & Moorland:Open to In Hand Mountain & Moorland ponies of ANY AGE registered with their respective Pure Bred societies Of Welsh A, B, C and D, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Fell, Dales, Highland, New Forest, Connemara. Stallion, Mare, Colt, Filly or Gelding
In hand Championship. 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 1 - 5
6. In hand Coloured and Odd Coloured. Piebald skewbald Palominos Duns Roans paints and spots. Open to Horses and ponies of all ages. And all types
7. In hand Rare and Foreign Bred of any age. This is also open to Arabs. And Rare and Foreign Part breds. Eg Exmoor, Fell, Suffolk Punch, Shire,
Hackney, Cleveland Bay, Haflinger, Andalusian, Trekener, Fresian, Fjord etc
8. In Hand Black, Bays, Greys & Chestnut. of any age and height.

Ring 2 – Surface Arena: Judge: Rosemary Keeling21. Lead rein and first ridden. Open to all breeds. First ridden riders 12 years old and under. To be shown
in any suitable bridle. Lead to be attached to the noseband. Lead rein riders 9 years old and under. Class will be split if entries warrant.
22. Ridden Gelding, 4 years old and over any type23. Ridden Cob, Open to Hogged and traditional, 4 years and over24. Ridden Black, Greys, Bays and Chestnut. Open to all types, 4 years old and over, lead rein permitted25. Open Junior Ridden. Open to riders 16 years and under. Any breed, any Type, Any Height.26. Novice Ridden Horse and Pony. Open to Horses and ponies of 4 yrs and over. Not to have won more

30.. First Year First Ridden. Open to those children who are just off the lead rein, Walk and trot. Canter only if able. No canter on the group.
31. Veteran ridden. 15+ years. Open to all breeds including lead rein
32. OPEN RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND BREEDS. Open to Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of, Welsh, A, B, C and D, Exmoor, Dartmoor and Shetland, Highland, Fells, Dales, New Forest. Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Rider any age. Lead Rein permitted. Class may be split if entries warrant.
33. Ridden Foreign and Rare Breeds This is also open to Arabs. And Rare and Foreign Part breds. Eg Exmoor, Fell, Suffolk Punch, Shire, Hackney, Cleveland Bay, Haflinger, Andalusian, Trekener, Fresian, Fjord etc
34. Ridden Coloured and Odd Coloured Horse and Pony. Including Piebald, Skewbald, Duns, Palominos, Roans. Lead rein permitted in this class.
Presentation of the ‘Keeling Family Award’. In each of the ridden classes, as the judge deems fit, Competitors may be given a ‘Welshmoor Ticket’. This entitles the Competitor to compete for the ‘Keeling Family Award’ of a perpetual Shield. Each competitor that comes forward will be awarded a medal and a rosette. The winner of the shield will also receive a commemorative rosette to keep.
Please hand your tickets in as you enter the ring.
The aim of the award is to encourage those competitors to have confidence in their ability and to fulfil showing dreams.

The following classes are run under Welshmoor Event rules, Therefore Stallions can be ridden and handled by Junior members where suitable

The Boring Part…. But please read….
No horse under 4 to be ridden unless stated All riders must be 3 years and over unless otherwise stated: Tiny tots allowed in fun classes and
where stated Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead No mucking out on the showground Please clear up your own litter Stallions eligible in ALL classes, Including, fun and lead rein and in hand, Please make sure an adult
is to hand at all times. The stallion must be suitable for the job in hand and will be judged in line with the class it is partaking in
Please keep young children supervised at all times The judge’s decision is final All complaints must be made in writing to the secretary on the day of the show together with £25.
This will be refunded if the complaint is upheld. All persons mounted must wear hard hats, anyone seen not doing so may be asked to leave the
showground Please remain in the place where you are parked, do not move your vehicle during the day unless it is
to leave the showground. No schooling whips to be used in the ring. Anyone seen using excessive whips, spurs or mistreating their horse or pony will be asked to leave
the showground with immediate effect. We reserve the right to reject any entry prior to or on the day and will not enter into any correspondence into the
rejection All horses and ponies to be kept under control at all times Abuse at organisers and fellow competitors will not be tolerated. This may result in your being asked
to leave the showground and refused entry from future events Refunds will not be given unless in extreme circumstances. Class vouchers will be offered instead
