Volunteer Housing Information Sheet Hurricane Florence Flood Response Panama City Beach, FL Thank you for serving as a volunteer with Operation Blessing. We hope your experience is life changing as you walk along side of people during their darkest hour – many have lost their homes, their personal belongings, and in some cases their family or friends. You will discover that the ministry you provide may be the hardest work you do, but the most rewarding. We are excited to see all that God does in and through you in the days ahead. This document highlights key information you need to know prior to arrival. Please review and share this information with your team as you prepare to serve with Operation Blessing US Disaster Relief. Volunteer Registration Every member of the team must complete a Volunteer Registration prior to arrival. (See Attached Registration Packet) This information should be printed out, completed, signed and handed to the Volunteer Coordinator upon arrival. Volunteer Housing Operation Blessing is partnering with Lighthouse Church 1616 Allison Avenue Panama City Beach, FL 32407 to provide housing for volunteers. You will sleep in a gym, fellowship hall, or classrooms in the church. Men and women sleep in separate quarters. Cots are provided. All groups traveling in must arrive no later than 9:00 PM. Shower trailers are available outside the church. Reminder : We are guests of the church. Please be respectful to care for the facility and keep your area tidy. Cleaning assignments will be made throughout the week. Meals Operation Blessing is happy to serve our volunteers by providing all breakfast, lunch, dinner throughout the week. We expect volunteers to participate in all meals. However, if you do not want to participate in one of the meals, please give our on-site management team 24-hour notice. Due to the nature of disaster relief, we are not always able to accommodate specific dietary request. However, please make our on-site leadership team aware of any food allergies. House Rules Volunteers should respect others and keep conversations to a minimum in sleeping quarters. Volunteers should be in Volunteer Housing by 9:30 PM with lights out by 10:30 PM and doors are locked by 10:00 PM. (Note: Please follow the direction of the on site management team.) Smoking and/or alcohol use is not permitted at our site either inside or outside of the housing facility.

What To Wear Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy work boots/shoes with hard soles (rubber boots if possible). Volunteers will be given Operation Blessing T-shirts upon arrival. We ask that all team members wear these shirts so they can be properly identified when working in the community.
