A tradition is something that is done for a long time. It is something that is repeated. It is a custom.

world.

Chinese New Year is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. The date is partially determined based on lunar phase. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first month in the Chinese calendar and ends with Lantern Festival,

which is on the 15th day.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is the Islamic month of fasting,

in which some Muslims do not eat or drink from dawn until sunset. This is done to show their love for God. Many more prayers are said every

day.

Pesach is a Jewish holy day and festival. It commemorates the story of the Exodus. Passover begins on the 15th day of the month of Nisan, which is spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and is celebrated for seven or eight days. It is one of the most widely observed Jewish holidays. This is also what Americans call Passover.

Traditions are celebrated all over the world. It is important to understand that not all people practice or celebrate every tradition. It is okay to be different than others who celebrate something other than you do.
