Task one: Delightful Displays

Display 1:

This display shows how buccaneers were traveling and

communicating with people around the world. The teacher

chose the theme from Port Side Pirates story, and grade three

students design it. This display considered as a post-reading

activity that students made buccaneers passport of themselves

included a descriptive message. It developed students' reading,

writing, and listening skills. Also, there was a speaker book that

recorded students' voices while reading the story to allow others

listen to the story.

Display 2:

This display is for grade two students, it is a great example of

group work because each four group did a part of the story. It is a

visual display where people can see and read students' writings.

Moreover, the children made puppets of the story characters with

a 3D bridge to summarize the story events. I liked that each

group create a book cover page for the four different events .

Display 3

This is grade six students' display for reading week. The teacher

read a funny story that a man came alive after years, so the

students made a wanted paper with drawing the man. The

displays helped students to summarize and write the story main

event. In addition, I liked it because there are students faces on

the display to belong this work to them. On the other hand, it is

not interactive because it is only written descriptions.

This creative display done by grade five students. They chose the

story title, theme, and the design by themselves. The magic box

book is a poetry book, so the children created a box with their

own poems. Which is an excellent stimulus for creative writing

and poetry. Moreover, this display shows classmates'

collaboration in creating a display with two different activities

from each student.
