Starting from the beginning we all negotiated on what our name was going to be called, we named it OGO. This stands for official good original (OGO). The reason why we thought of this was because we wanted our brand to be known for a high quality brand to wear. After we discussed this we then broke out into our separate work. Woking in a group to complete the task was very interesting. I took control of the treatment when one of my teammates took care of the story and the other took care of the pre production.

Starting from the beginning we all negotiated on what our name was going to be called, we named it OGO. This stands for official good original (OGO). The reason why we thought of this was because we wanted our brand to be known for a high quality brand to wear. After we discussed this we then broke out into our separate work.

Taking care of the treatment meant that I had to included verse thing down to the synopsis, reference, location, audio and the techniques used. We named our production DJS as it was easy suitable for the time. The first slide I done was technique I chosen this slide as I had a ruff idea what was going to be made. So me and the camera man (Jabed) spoke in depth about what camera shots we was going to have. The affect we wanted the audience to have n them as well as that how we wanted out item/clothing was going to be portrayed in the advert. Our main aim during this whole production was to keep the clothing our main selling point. We didn’t want to loss focus on what the main thing was. One I gathered enough information about how we were going to record I begun to write. We wanted to be very prepared during this production so that is why we spoke about technics first. We were looking for fine detail in camera shot so we used close ups to show the detail in materials and the high quality it is. The following slide was the Synopsys it was this page I was allowed to really think about what I was going to do. During this stage I was able to do a little bit of research what generator production and currency production. Learning the differences between the two it has allowed me to apply it to my work. Having the products in fine details this will express the emotions you can catch for the coat and will make you want to buy more. Using technics like slow motion will create that sort of effect. During the Synopsys page I was able to focus on the jacket more than anything. It was I was doing the reference I was able to imagine what my advert was going to look like. One video by North Face is where we founded some of our ideas. It was the closes video what was nearest to our idea. After I sent it around the group they agreed and begun to gather the same thoughts as me. It was important for us to have a reference as it would allow use to think of ideas. After I finished the treatment we moved onto filing. Having done the treatment all my self I think that it could have been slight improvement. The reason why I say there is , is because when every the story bored was changed or the pre production was changed I wasn’t always updated about it so I couldn’t of updated the treatment.

During this filming stage I was one of the models who was representing the item\clothing so I didn’t have that much control over what should be shot and in what way. I know that one of my teammate took care full control over the camera work and I would help him there and then when it got to positioning the camera and finding the better camera shots to get the correct affect we was looking for. We attempted to get a close-up of me zipping up. We thought it would symbolize how warm you can be. Then we shot close up of water running against the coat to show how the coat will protect you from harsh weather conditions. The recording over all went rather well. We was able to control the environment the way we wanted it to be, however the only down fall of recording in the studio is that it could be quite boring as there isn’t anything else going on in the shot. Apart from that working in the studio has its advantage. Doing the recording in a group could of went better, I feel like who ever gets hold of the camera controls the set, sense and the mise en scene of the whole entire set. This means that not many people had a go at the camera work and didn’t have the chance to find out.

We had to do our individual editing. I think this went very well as it allowed everyone to show their strengths in editing. After working in a group for so long it was nice separating from them to complete some individual work that way I was able to show how much I have developed my skills in editing. I did watch plenty YouTube tutors to make sure I done better than I usually do in editing. In my opinion the editing was my favorite part as it kept me thinking of new things to do and as a person who take media seriously, its like everyone is there own director so as directors you experiment on new things and cover grounds you normally won’t to expand your skills. So the editing played a major part for me.

So far working in a group has its advantages and disadvantages. I found working in a group to complete things like production sheets, treatment and story bored makes it easier to complete. The reason for this is because all the work is separated into different parts each part is given to someone to complete. I feel like this was a good thing as it allowed us to find our own information and then discuses it in a group but the major disadvantage is that some people work faster than others and for those who work very slow or even get distracted quickly will bring down the group. So if one-person messes up it will inflict on everyone. This is why I prefer to work alone on some accessions so that you can carryout what ever task at what ever confortable past u go at. Generating ideas is a good thing what can come out from a group as its not only one opinion. Having one opinion can be a bad thing as you could keep all your thought bios and you aren’t really open to any other ideas. When in a group you can have small debates and listen to others ideas what will make you open-minded.

The advantages and disadvantages of production methods is that you can experiment more. The more methods you find will allow you to have a bigger audience for example having a fast past ad with up-to-date music will only appeal to a younger audience, however having a advert what is slow past with less flashing images and a slower vibe will appeal to a older audience. Editing techniques are almost endless as there is much you can do. It is all about experimenting find what skills will suit your production for two-thing to present what ever it is in the right way and to make sure it suits your target audience.

This is my questionnaire result. I asked a serious of questions based around my advert I asked like could this advert become annoying if it was TV? And what do you think I could of done better?

The chart bellow likes with this questions. How could I improve on this advert?

As you can see everyone said there was no other way for me to improve in my advert. I did reserve cheeky remarks like I wish it could be longer or to extend it longer. But I fell like I could have improved my advert in virus ways such like including ambience noise in certain places.

My next question I have was. Did you enjoy it? If so why?

Everyone agreed with this one but

I was mostly I was concentrating on the reason why. I had response like I enjoyed it because the use of editing. I also had response ranging camera angles, location used and lighting.

What do you think I could of done better?

I found the feedback on this very helpful as it allowed me to find other peoples opinion. Most people said that it was very well. The only people who said I could improve said if I could extend it longer.

This is just a quick brief of what type of responses I have had on the questionnaire. I feel like some of the responses could have been better in a way what could allow me to improve my work in best of ways. For example if someone put more detail on why my work could have been improved or how it could have been. That way I could of improved it in a better way.

In addition to the generator and currency I was able to find out more about this via a person named Judith Williamson. She wrote a decoding advertisement article it a ideology and meaning in advertising it explains in deep information what generator is and what currency is an d the difference between the two.

In this book it talks about the skills of advertisement and how to apply it in adverts. It uses examples of what and how Judith does it and gives you knowledge on how currency and generator impacts your target audience.

I was able to learn the difference between the two. It uses chanel and many more to show you how big brand use them to capture peoples eye and attention.

Currency – Product currency is when you get a purpose from an actual item as well as getting a feeling from it too. You can often find many sport adverts use this as they produce items what are beneficial to the person they’ll also make it stylish or modern so that it becomes attractive.

Generator – product generator is when you get a positive feeling from what you are buying. This can be found in what ever it may be you find appealing or interesting as it drops down to personal preference.
