Tank Top Working Drawing Process:In order to begin the creation of my top working drawing, I had to learn how to create straight lines and curves using the pen tool. You start off with a straight line and to curve it you hold down your left mouse button and drag either downwards or upwards. There are guides to show you what your curve will look like which is also useful. When you let go, the curve is created. To then create a straight line again, you have to click the last anchor on the end of the curve that you just made.

I used this technique to create the bodice and the sleeve by first creating a ruler down the middle of the figure and following the shape of the body.

After, to avoid drawing the same thing all over again on the other side and worrying about symmetry, I used the reflect tool to create a copy on the other side.

This works by firstly clicking the guide in the middle, holding Alt, Shift and left click on the design and dragging it to the opposite side of the figure. This creates a mirror image of the design.
