Important News! Please check your child’s backpack daily. There is always lots of important information coming home at this time of year. Spring brings many activities that keep us running and busy. Please keep up the nightly reading with your child. It is so very important! Fun Fair, next Friday, still needs volunteers. Please consider signing up to help. The Kindergarten Sight words are crucial to success in First grade. Please practice them daily. We are out of napkins for snack time. If you could send in a package we would be greatful. This Week: Monday - We had fun matching mother and baby animals by listening to riddles. We also worked on our April calendar and the parts of a flower. We planted seeds today too! Tuesday -We sorted plant parts, needs, and tools for growing plants. We also had fun making a flower model and labeling the parts. We are wrapping up our work with 3D shapes. Wednesday - We had a scavenger hunt to find various items outside. Then, we came in and decided if they were living or nonliving. We practiced writing our last lowercase letters. Thursday - We worked on the word eight, and played “I have, who has…” with shapes. We also worked on 3D shapes, adding, and numbers in math groups. Friday - We had fun sharing the 3D shapes we found at home. We learned about habitats, and made a habitat book. We also did a couple of papers to check our knowledge of 3D shapes. We will talk about about our earth and how we can take care of it. We will continue to talk about plants and animals. Fun Fair Friday night! The social event of the season!
