We have continued to work on letter formation. Next week we will be taking an assessment on writing letters. If your child cannot write all his/her letters independently, please work on that at home. Just work on a couple letters a night so that he/she does not get overwhelmed. Be looking for the assessment later next week. We continue to write simple sentences focusing on beginning and ending sounds in the words and P Reading Learning Target: I can read a sentence. We have read Goldilocks and the Three Bears this week. We read several editions of the classic version. We talked about the similarities and differences. We filled out a Venn diagram about it, too! We also read several books about Goldilocks that were a bit different, like Goldie Returns , Gordon Loggins and the Three Bears , Goldilocks and the Three Hares and several more. These books are so cute! Reading Go Away, Big Green Monster at reading corner! You don’t scare me!

Just so you know… 1. As the weather cools down, don’t forget those jackets! The playground doesn’t have trees to block the wind!2. I added nightly reading to the homework, so it will need to be turned in on Fridays!3. Be sure to record the nightly reading on the reading log as well!

Our MONSTAR of the Week next week is Kamryn!

We have continued our counting and calendar routine as we will throughout the year. We have also worked on comparing numbers and groups. We have been able to tell which group is greater than and less than. We have also been able to do the same with numbers (numbers through 10). I am really impressed at how quickly they are getting a numbers sense and a class!

We are continuing to work on writing numbers. There will be
