2. Insert an image inside a shape in Fireworks

1. Insert a picture by going to ‘File’ then ‘Import’ and choose ‘Import Image’.

2. Draw in a shape using one of the ‘Shapes’ in the ‘Tools’ menu.

3. Using the black pointer tool, move your shape on top of the picture. The picture must be behind the shape (move it in the ‘Layers’ menu if necessary).

4. Using the white pointer tool, you can resize your picture so it is the same size or larger than the shape that’s over it.

5. Now cut your picture by selecting it and then pressing Ctrl and C on your keyboard.

The image will disappear.

6. Click on the shape, then go to ‘Edit’ and select ‘Paste Inside’.

7. Your picture is now inside the shape! You can move it around using the white pointer tool.

If you want the face of the animal to be larger, or more in the centre you will need to do the whole process again, but make the picture larger and move it into the middle of the shape before you paste it inside.
