WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The World Bank earmarked $245 million in credit and grant funding for Myanmar under an 18-month work plan:●Public financial management, to transparently link budgets to development priorities ●Regulatory reform, to provide access to finance for microfinance borrowers and small and medium enterprises●Private sector development, to promote broad-based economic growth and job creation

European Commission chief Jose Manuel Barroso has offered Myanmar more than $100m (£62m; 78m euros) in development aid as he met President Thein Sein.

1. Building human and institutional capacity in effective development processes;

2. Promoting an enabling economic environment to achieve macroeconomic stability, promote trade and investment, diversify the economy, create jobs, improve financial intermediation, and increase agricultural productivity;

3. Creating access and connectivity for rural livelihoods and infrastructure development (transport and energy) by promoting enhanced access to markets
