All aboard the Titanic!

voyage from Southampton to New York.

We do now know, of course, that it sadly hit an iceberg and sunk on

April 15th, 1912.

Today and tomorrow, your job is to design a poster advertising the Titanic to go with

your ticket!

At the time of the Titanic’s voyage in the early 1900s, the transatlantic cruise ship trade was

very competitive and worth lots of money. The tickets and posters would have to have been

very impressive to encourage passengers onto the Titanic rather than another ship!

Facilities on board include a gym, pool, Turkish bath, a kennel for first class dogs, and a squash

The ship cost $7.5 million to build.

It took 3,000 Harland & Wolff shipbuilders to construct the ship.
