White Mass
Bishop Monforton will be celebrating a White Mass to honor physicians, nurses, and all those who serve in the healthcare pro-fession. All healthcare workers are invited to participate in the White Mass. There will be two celebrations in the Diocese of Steubenville: Sunday, Sep. 17 at 11:00 a.m., at Blessed Sacra-ment Church in Wintersville, and Sunday, Oct. 15 at 10:00
a.m., at Christ the King Church in Athens. All are welcome to participate in these special celebrations.
New Church to be Dedicated
For the first time in 29 years, a new church will be dedicated in the Diocese of Steubenville. At 3:00 pm on Sunday, September
24, Bishop Monforton will celebrate Mass and dedicate the new-ly constructed Our Lady of Mercy Church in Carrollton. All are
invited to participate in this special event.

2017 D/PSC Update Thanks to all of you who have already pledged to the 2017 Diocesan/Parish Share Campaign. As of August 14th, 144
families have pledged $58,267.10.00. This amount puts our parish over our goal of $51,724.00 by $6,543.10. This amount
and all future pledges will be returned to St Peter Parish. May God reward your generosity to our diocese and parish!

Hero 5k Run ~ Support Women’s Center
You are invited to the Hero 5K Run/Walk, "Be the Hero you were meant to be!" on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Jim Woods Park
in Steubenville. This event will benefit the Aim Women’s Center. COME DRESSED AS YOUR FAVORITE HERO!
Registration begins at 8:00am. The morning will include a 5K Run/Walk, a free 1K Fun Run for kids, carnival games, face paint-

Franciscan University Fatima Indulgence Site Pope Francis has granted a plenary indulgence those “who visit a
statue of Our Lady of Fatima… exposed for public veneration.” Visit on the 13th of each month until Oct.13, 2017, to
receive the indulgence, under the normal conditions. The statue is in the narthex of the University Chapel.
