ABOUT CSP
What is CSP?Cyber Security Professionals (CSP) is a unique multi-sector event that brings together more than 500 UK and international cyber security professionals all under one roof. We connect developers, vendors, academics and consumers from the public and private sectors in an open, thought-provoking and productive collaboration.Everyone is a participant, there is no discrimination and everyone has equality of voice.
Not just another cyber security eventWe operate through new structures as an arena of experimentation, a space where boundaries are not constraints. We encourage challenge, require rigour and reward engagement through workshops, presentations, exhibitions and innovations.
Our MissionTo be the arena of changeBy bringing together the UK and international cyber community to participate, communicate and educate on the world of tomorrow, through participation in the annual CSP event.
Our Goals• Recreate and reinvigorate the ideas and
behaviours of the cyber community• Step aside from the us and them
culture• Embrace new forms of interaction
and communication• Challenge the existing ways of
thinking and acting • Offer concrete
alternatives

CSP About
CSP:2019
Identity, Anonymity, Privacy and Our Reliance upon Cyber in an Increasingly
Complex Society
Life as we now know it is impossible without the internet. We are
already far beyond the point of no return. Yesterday; the
Internet, today; the Internet of Things, Tomorrow; the
Internet of Humans.
What and who we are is changing. For some, the idea that we can invent, define and describe our multiple and volatile identities all by our individual selves is a liberation. For others it threatens to undermine and collapse the very foundations of the established social order.
Society creates complexity and today’s society is so complex that everything has to be connected to everything else or else the entire system will collapse under its own weight. The existing fabric of our social contract has been unpicked and re-woven by all things Cyber.
CSP:2019 will host a variety of discussions, including:• Has the world we are building on and in
already started to change us?• Who should have the right to demand your
‘true’ identity and how will we exercise trust and verification over those with this power?
• What is indeed your true identity?
The AgendaBuilding on the format from last year, the agenda leans heavily towards round table
discussions and workshops where members of the gathered community have equality of voice and fresh, challenging thinking is
encouraged.
Keynote presenters include:
Colin Williams, Director, SBL,
Honorary Fellow, University of Warwick,
Visiting Professor, De Montfort University
Gemma Milne, Science and Technology Writer
and Podcaster

Sponsored Workshop
£3,000 | 16 available(£2,000 if booked with a stand package)
By hosting a workshop you will have the opportunity to give participants a space where everyone has equality of voice and where boundaries are not constraints. The content should encourage interaction for all, as we make no distinction between delegates, sponsors, vendors, academia etc. Everyone attending CSP is a participant.
When planning your session your workshop host should allow 5 – 10 minutes to set the scene at the beginning and summarise discussion at the end. This will then allow up to 40 minutes for collaborative discussion where new, fresh and challenging thinking is encouraged.
As a workshop host, you can cover any cyber/ information security topic (subject to CSP organiser’s approval). However it should not be seen as an opportunity for a sales pitch. These workshops are NOT a presentation in disguise, they are specifically designed to be engaging. Participants will be encouraged to reserve their place in the session(s) they feel will be most interesting or valuable to them.
All workshop hosts will be expected to attend a pre-event briefing session, which will be held in September.(Date and location to be confirmed)
Package includes:
• 50-minute workshop during a pre-allocated slot (first come first serve)
• Opportunity to circulate papers in advance of workshop to encourage participants to register for your session
