INTRODUCTION Sometimes life can seem ordinary and boring. We can get stuck in routines and let our calendars control us. We may even feel insignificant and powerless under the weight of life’s burdens and demands. However, the real key to accomplishing great things is to trust and live in God’s power. DISCUSSION QUESTIONS 1. Tell about a time when you accomplished something great. Were you intentional in pursuing it? 2. Describe an area of your life that currently feels impossible. Do you have a dream that seems unachievable? What barriers do you see standing in your way? 3. Read Joshua 1:1-10. The Israelites had big dreams about accomplishing something great: to reach the Promised Land. But before they arrived, their leader Moses died. Discuss how Joshua and the Israelites may have felt. How did God encourage them? What did He promise? 4. Jesus reveals the key to accomplishing great things in John 15:5-7. How do you stay connected to Him? Read 2 Timothy 1:7. How does God’s Spirit equip us to face life with confidence and hope? JOIN THE CONVERSATION Jason said, “Whatever you need, God is greater. Whatever you’re going through, God is bigger. Whatever your weakness, God is stronger.” Considering your current life situation, how will you embrace this truth and shift your attitude toward intentionally accomplishing something great?
