I am constantly humbled by their hard work and their dedication. The highlight this week was the White Ribbon Cup held last Friday. This is always a great day, when all the schools of the Hawkesbury, both public and private, stand together against violence in our community. I am very proud to say that Windsor High won the day and is once more in posses- sion of the Cup. It stands proudly in our display cabinet in the front office, so be sure to take a look next time you are at the school. Well done to our great White Ribbon Team and Mr Fragogiannis for coordinating and organising the day (and for kicking the winning goal in the final against Colo High!). We even got some very positive coverage on Channel 7 News, so check out our Facebook page if you haven’t seen it as yet. A huge thank you goes to the Western Sydney Wanderers for their continued support for our White Ribbon Cup. Thank you for the donation of jerseys, shorts and drink bottles.

This week on assembly we celebrated many student successes.

Congratulations to the Year 7 and 9 students who received Year Adviser Awards.

Our RFS Cadets visited Oakville Brigade on Wednesday as part of their training. They had the opportunity

to learn about how our fire fighters use BA (Breathing Apparatus) for structure fires, explored the CAT1

tankers that are currently in service as well as two historic fire vehicles. Thanks to the RFS volunteers who

made this possible, Cathy from Colo Heights RFS, Andrew and Helen from Oakville RFS.

Mrs Calvert has worked closely with every student in Year 10 over the past week to give them sound advice

regarding their subject choices for their senior years. Mrs Khalid is mastering our new timetabling program,

Edval, to successfully set up online subject choices for years 8, 9 and 10 for 2020. A big thank you to both

Mrs Calvert and Mrs Khalid for ensuring a smooth transition for these students.

Natalie took part in the Karate Pacific Cup in New Caledonia. She won 1st Place in the under 50kg weight category. We are so proud of the quiet achiever!!!

Jade from Year 8 participated in the NSW State Irish Dancing Championship and was placed 8th in the State. Also, Jade participated in the NSW State Teams for under 15’s 4 Hand Girls, they came first and are now State Champions. Well done Jade!

Next week is our Wellbeing Week at school, a fabulous week that is always a very positive one for all our students and teachers. Please encourage your children to participate in the many activities we will hold during breaks and remind them to wear mufti on Friday 13th for our 3rd annual Colour Run. Kind regards, KylieThompson
