PROGRAM INFORMATION
LEARNING OBJECTIVES At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
1. Explain how advances in internal medicine can be implemented into current practice patterns
2. Describe recent advances in medical research
3. Determine how the evolution in scientific methodology has changed clinical practice
4. Recite relevant material for clinical practice to help improve competence
TARGET AUDIENCE This continuing medical education program is designed to meet the educational needs of alumni of Northwestern’s residency and fellowship programs who are clinical healthcare professionals.

MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION (MOC) Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 8.75 MOC
points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
