WEEKLY SHIPPING MARKET REPORT - pg. 1 Week 29 (10 th Jul to 17 th Jul 2020) Bulkers BW Group have offloaded three of their BWTS fitted Kamsarmax vessels. The “BW Barley” 83/2010 Sanoyas, Japan (SS 06/2023, DD 06/2021) & “BW Einkorn” 81/2010 Universal, Japan (SS 12/2022, DD 12/2020) were sold to Greek buyers Centrofin for region USD 14 mill each, while the “BW Acorn82/2010 Oshima, Japan (SS 01/2025, DD 07/2022), which has 2 generators, was committed to German buyers for region USD 13,5 mill. The three ships were initially reported sold to Norwegian buyers for USD 41 mill enbloc but the deal failed since buyers did not lift the subjects. Furthermore, Doun Kisen have sold their “KM Yokohama” 83/2011 Sanoyas, Japan (SS 05/2023, DD 05/2021) to undisclosed buyers at a price in the region of USD 15 mill, while the Korean built “Wise Young” 82/2011 Daewoo, Korea (SS/DD 11/2020) was concluded for USD 13,75 mill. The Supramax “Sun Lucia” 56/2012 Jiangsu Hantong, China (SS/DD 04/2022) has been sold to Chinese buyers at USD low 9 mill, whilst her sister vessel “Aragonit” 57/2012 Jiangsu Hantong, China was committed a month ago at USD 8,2 mill. Meanwhile, Arista Shipping have committed the “Panworld56/2011 Hyundai Mipo, Korea (SS 05/2021, DD 02/2021) to Far Eastern buyers for USD 10 mill. Moreover, the Japanese built “Mimi Selmer” 56/2005 Mitsui, Japan (SS/DD 10/2020) of Ambra Shipmanagement was sold for USD 7,5 mill, while her sister vessel “Helene Selmer” 56/2005 (SS/DD 09/2020) was sold a month ago at USD 6,5 mill. In addition, the BWTS fitted Bulk Paraiso” 53/2007 Iwagi, Japan (SS 12/2024, DD 12/2022) was sold to Greek buyers at levels USD low 8 mill. Finally, the BWTS fitted OHBS Handysize “Moonlight Serenade” 32/2008 Saiki, Japan (SS/DD freshly passed) was committed at levels USD 7,3 mill. Remind you that a couple of weeks ago, the one-year-younger BWTS fitted “Orient Hope” 32/2009 Hakodate, Japan was sold for USD 7,4 mill.     Capesize

    Week 29 saw iron ore rates on the West Australia / China route climbing in

    the high usd 7.00’s fio range. No period activity to report here.

    Kamsarmax / Panamax

    North Pacific rounds ranged at the usd 11,000/12,000 pd. A number of

    Indonesian trips into China were reported fixed in the usd 9,000/10,000 pd

    range. A number of Australian trips into India were reported at the level of

    usd 12,000 pd. South African trips into China were fixed around usd 16,000

    pd. South East Asian trips into China via East Coast South America were fixed

    around usd 14,000 pd. South East Asian trips into China via Black Sea were

    reported around usd 13,000 pd. Inter-Continental trips via Murmansk and

    Mediterranean with coal were reported at the level of usd 16,350 pd. US

    Gulf trips into China were reported around usd 13,000 pd. Usd 12,500 pd on

    a Kamsarmax for 4/6 months employment basis delivery in the Pacific.

    Ultramax / Supramax

    A number of Indonesian trips into China were reported fixed in the usd

    8,000/9,000 pd range. A number of Indonesian trips into India were reported

    at the level of usd 4,000 pd. Persian Gulf trips into India with aggregates

    were fixed at the level of usd 16,000 pd. South African trips into South East

    Asia were fixed around usd 12,500 pd plus ballast bonus at the usd 250K.

    West African trips into China were reported at the level of usd 22,750 pd.

    Inter-Mediterranean trips via Black Sea and Red Sea were fixed around usd

    10,750 pd. Continental trips into Mediterranean with scrap were reported

    at the level of usd 16,000 pd. Continental trips into India with fertilisers were

    fixed around usd 20,500 pd. Usd 9,250 pd on a Supramax for 4/6 months

    employment basis delivery in the Pacific.

    Handymax / Handysize

    A generally quiet week for this segment. Inter-Mediterranean trips via Black

    Sea with steels were reported at the level of usd 7,250 pd. US Gulf trips into

    West Coast South America were fixed around usd 15,000 pd. No period

    activity to report here.
