Mission Statement The mission of Monsignor Slade Catholic School is to promote Catholic faith
and intellectual development in our students We do this by teaching about
and modeling the precepts of the Catholic faith as well as challenging our students
with a rigorous course of study We do this so that they will use their faith
knowledge and skills to shape their futures positively and work for the benefit of
the whole society
There are only a couple weeks left to re-register at 50 off Please let us
know if your children will join us in the 2019-2020 school year Help us reach
our goal to have more than 90 of our students re-registered by Catholic Schools

Last month we kicked off Monsignor Slade Catholic Schoolrsquos Annual Fund
This yearrsquos goal is to raise $40000 Your gift will make you a hero to our kids
and our school Every gift and every donor matters Whether parents send back
an envelope or contribute online we prayerfully ask that families give as gener-
ously as they are able and that every family participates As always thank you

President Serves a three-year term Earns all 12 required service hours each year Election to be held in March 2019
Previous Athletic Council experience is not necessary The position requires the incumbent to be organized diplomatic and flexible If
you are passionate about our sports program please consider this leadership role in the organization
The Duties of the Council President
Oversee all sports programs thus ensuring that they are being effectively and efficiently managed while adhering to the
Slade Athletic Council Policy Guide Archdiocesan policy and school policy
Provide for consistency in operation among the individual sports programs where applicable
Conduct monthly meetings of the Athletic Council as scheduled
Prepare and distribute a meeting agenda to all council members prior to each scheduled meeting
Cast a vote as an active member of the Council
Preside over all budget matters of the Council and submit annual budgets to the school administration
Solicit and appoint Participants in consultation with and approval by the Council
Field Hockey Commissioner Earns all 12 required service hours each year Election to be held on or after January 2019
The Duties of the Commissioner
Administer all aspects of the field hockey program to ensure its effective and efficient management while adhering to the
Slade Athletic Council Policy Guide Archdiocesan policy and school policy
Provide for consistency in operation among the individual field hockey teams where applicable
Participate in Athletic Council meetings
Cast a vote as an active member of the Council
Manage all aspects of the Field Hockey program budget including the submission of annual budgets to the school
administration
While in season prepare and submit monthly reports regarding the Field Hockey program to the Athletic Council
In case of absence from Council meeting designate another officer of the Council to submit report
Event Monitor Earns service hours on a per-worked hourly basis
Be stationed at the facility main front door all entry and non-emergency exits will occur at this door
Assist supervising areas locked or otherwise cordoned off from use
Supervise persons utilizing AACPS facilities under approved use agreements and ensure participants adhere to regulations
related to the approved agreements
Notify custodial staff of maintenance requirements ie spills heatingcooling issues and other facility needs
Summon Emergency Personnel via 911 andor pull the fire alarm in the event of fire smoke gas leak medical emergency or
another similar event
